1) Chinese exchanges are known for wash trading and faking volume
2) Many of them have low to no fees which distorts what volume means

@BernhardAnalytics, not really. Look how dramatically volume has changed in China just since the PBOC outlawed wash trading. You couldn't trust it before a couple of weeks ago. You're of course welcome to see patterns where there are none :)
