The indicator allows you to quickly compare business growth rates (by default, earnings per share, EPS) and stock prices to determine overbought or undervalued.
The financial parameter as a percentage fits together several years ago, by default 5, and displays the dynamics. To date, it allows you to see how much the price is higher or lower than fair. The lag in the share price from the growth rate of the business is often called the margin of safety, which makes it safer to invest. Of course, this does not mean that the market will quickly return to a fair course, the market can live its life for a long time.
It is important that the dynamics will be incorrect if the financial parameter at the beginning of the docking is negative, for example, as in TSLA and not very correct in the case of a low base, i.e. when the company only went into profit 5 years ago.

This great tool but having issues with Index and ETF's in getting the FairValue/Price. SPX Index is fairly standard so not sure if there are different settings or input. Would really be helpful. Works great on indvidual stocks to have that line on the chart.

@Kuch, It will be necessary to try to implement. SPY or SPX does not have financial data aggregated. We will have to collect the profits of companies with index proportions in order to realize this. I am not sure that the TradingView ecosystem will allow making 500 queries to the financial data of index companies. Thanks for the idea.

@xsfera, Okay understand will search around since for data fields since some firms calculate an aggregate SP500 Fair Value rate. Thank You for your script.
