The Preliminary UoM Consumer Sentiment data (Actual: 78.9, Forecast: 75.0, Previous: 72.3 revised from 73.7) released last Friday indicated an improvement in the outlook of the U.S. economy from the surveyed consumers. This improvement was mainly due to a recovery in employment and the expectation that unemployment rate will decline.
